IT IS TYPICALLY MADE FROM DURABLE POLYMERS LIKE POLYPROPYLENE OR POLYESTER AND FUNCTIONS BY ACTING AS A FILTER, SEPARATOR, OR REINFORCEMENT LAYER WHEN PLACED WITHIN SOIL, ON THE GROUND, OR AS PART OF A STRUCTURE.
